In my search for high quality ammolite I occasionally run into high quality specimens of my other favourite gem--Opals.

This opal.

This 10x12mm beauty was mined in Africa and has very high quality and contains a kaleidoscope of colors when worn.Some of this amazing variety of colors are revealed in the appended images but far more are seen when worn.The gem has been cut with facets on its surface which spreads the colors beautifully. Opals of this quality are hard to find--and--if it were mined in Australia would command multiples of the listing price.
