A triplet is created by skilled ammolite artisans by creating a sandwich with stone at the bottom, ammolite gem in the middle and a cap of quartz on top.This process protects the ammolite for use in jewelry.Without it there is the risk of chipping or breaking the gem material.Most of our jewelry uses this method as do the best producers of ammolite.
