I call this spectacular and rare ammolite Cabochon "The Window" for its window of green on a field of fiery red and gold.Ammolites with this sort of colour display are very rare.

This gorgeous gem measures a large 40x23mm and features a window of green looking out onto an ever changing background of blood red flames.Spectacular!

This ammolite like all others on this page was collected by hand by a member of the Blood tribe in South Alberta,Canada--the only place where all fine ammolite is found.It was sold on in rough form to one of Alberta's most experienced cutter/finishers who produced this beauty by laborious polishing with ever decreasing sizes of grit until a mirror finish was achieved.

There is absolutely no epoxy or other finish on the surface of this gem---it is totally natural and represents the highest and best form of ammolite available and there is no other just like it--a true original.
