A gorgeous ammolite cabochon gemstone for the collector or for the person that wants to go the extra mile to work with their jeweller to create a unique high value piece of jewelry.
This gemstone was hand collected by a member of the Blood Tribe in South Alberta on their reserve that is the focal point of much of the worlds best ammolite.
It was sold on in its rough state to one of Alberta's premier ammolite cutter finishers who hand polished this stone to the mirror surface finish you see in these images.
Pressure fissures are common in ammolite which signify the 80 million years they spent underground creating their amazing colours. These are not considered detrimental to quality so long as they do not mar the overall image of the stone.
This ammolite measures 20x15mm and contains many bright colors that change and reveal copper and orange. Will make a gorgeous pendant.
There is no epoxy on the surface of this beauty.
